Maldives Entry Requirements
- Passengers entering to Maldives are NO LONGER required to present a PCR negative test result upon arrival if the individual(s) have completed the prescribed dose(s) of a COVID-19 vaccine that is being approved by the Maldives Food & Drug Authority or by the World Health Organization (WHO) Emergency Use Listing (EUL) and at least 14 (fourteen) days have passed since. (Booster dose(s) are not required to be eligible for this exemption).
- Children (above one year) who are not eligible for vaccination and individual(s) who have not completed the prescribed dose(s) of a COVID-19 vaccine, will still be required to present a negative PCR upon arrival to Maldives, for which the sample for the PCR is taken at most 72 (Seventy-Two) hours with the flight departure time.
- Tourists who spend their holiday in tourist facilities in inhabited islands are NO LONGER required to do a PCR test when departing from their respective inhabited islands. (In Spite of that, above one year passengers who are not eligible for vaccination and individual(s) who have not completed the prescribed dose(s) of a Covid-19 vaccine will still require PCR negative test result)
- Submit the Traveler Health Declaration form online via the IMUGA portal (https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/ethd) within 24hrs prior to departure from the first port of embarkation. Bring 3 copies of confirmation while traveling.
- Must hold a valid passport with a Machine-Readable Zone (MRZ).
- A genuine pre-paid hotel booking.
- Confirmed return or onward ticket together with necessary visas.
- Work Permit Holders and Maldivians are required to do a PCR test for Covid-19
- between 3-5 days of arrival to Maldives
Note: All parties failing to comply with the immigration requirements will be penalized in accordance with Immigration Law.
Bangladesh Entry Requirements
Vaccinated with COVID-19 Vaccine: Travelers who completed a full dose (single/double dose as applicable for a full dose) of WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccine can enter Bangladesh with the official proof of certification of vaccination and no RT PCR-based COVID-19 negative certificate is required.
Not Vaccinated with COVID-19 Vaccine: Travelers without having a full dose (single/double dose as applicable for a full dose) of COVID-19 vaccine can enter Bangladesh if they possess an RT PCR-based COVID-19 negative certificate done within 72 hours of departure time.
If COVID-19 Symptoms are Identified on Arrival: Irrespective of whether vaccinated or not vaccinated, if any COVID-19 symptoms are detected in a traveler on arrival, he/she shall be sent to a Government Authorized Hospital/Facility for RT PCR test. If the RT PCR test result is positive, he/she will be sent to isolation at a government-nominated facility or Hotel at their own expense. Further RT PCR test will be
carried out after 7 (Seven) days and he/she will be released when the test result is negative. Quarantine shall be ensured by the respective government agency(s) in charge.
- Passengers Below 12 Years of Old: No RT PCR negative certificate is required for incoming passengers below 12 years old. However, they will have to observe the same health formalities that will apply to their family members on arrival.
